California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking an Information Technology Instructor to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring others and experience in the field of information technology. Responsibilities: Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday every week Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs Employ teaching and learning strategies to communicate subject matter to students Current certifications in subjects taught Mastery Of Subject Matter: Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field or discipline Connect subject matter with related fields Stay current in the subject matter through professional development Adhering To College Policies And Procedures: Ensure Student Database is updated and accurate Maintain compliance with accreditation and CIAT policies Submit required documentation Communicate requirements for textbooks, supplies, and equipment Adhere to the CIAT business casual attire policy Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution Certification in the subject being taught (CCNA preferred) At least three years of experience in the field or two years of teaching experience Synchronous online teaching experience preferred Effective presentation and communication skills Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and learning technologies Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Days and hours of work are usually Monday through Friday, but weekend and evening hours may be required. Live classes are scheduled twice per week, on Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm PT.
