Overview

Wrestling Assistant Coach .5 position at Pinnacle High School for the 2025-26 season. Temporary, part-time (FTE 0.5). Season Dates: 11/3/2025 - 2/7/2026. Salary: $1,215.50. All coaches must be a district approved volunteer. This role serves as a member of the athletic program staff and is assigned to a specific sport at the Varsity, JV/Frosh or Junior High level. Responsibilities

Assess student athletes for the purpose of providing feedback on individual performance and/or determining team placement. Attend meetings, workshops, conferences, and other events to receive and convey information related to the role. Communicate with parents, students, officials, administrators and community for information, assistance and/or direction. Instruct student athletes to promote growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Maintain records (e.g., statistics, permits, emergency information, schedules, equipment inventories) to comply with district, athletic conference, and state requirements. Manage uniforms, equipment and facilities to ensure items are kept in a responsible and safe manner. Monitor student athletes' academic eligibility to comply with requirements and provide appropriate interventions (e.g., counseling, tutoring) when needed. Supervise student athletes during all areas of participation to minimize risk of injury. Teach sports techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics to prepare the team and individual athletes for competition. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the program. Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Job-related experience is required. Abilities: Ability to schedule activities, gather data, work with diverse individuals, problem-solve, and communicate effectively. Ability to work extended hours including evenings and/or weekends as needed. Other: Must meet district volunteer requirements and be eligible to work within the district; status as Non Exempt under FLSA. Work Environment

The job involves physical demands such as occasional lifting, standing and walking; routine exposure to temperature variations and potential risks of injury or illness.
