Summary
This is a Full-Time, Non-Exempt position that will report to the Solar Superintendent. The Residential Solar Installer is responsible for the electrical aspects of installing and maintaining residential solar energy systems. This role involves working closely with the installation team to ensure all electrical wiring and components of photovoltaic (PV) systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Install and wire AC and DC components of residential solar systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, and load centers. Install, terminate, and test electrical wiring for residential solar systems. Experience integrating battery backup systems such as Tesla Powerwall, Enphase Encharge, or similar, including energy storage system (ESS) wiring, commissioning, and programming. Knowledge and ability to read solar electrical plan sets. Ensure all installations comply with NEC, local building codes, and utility requirements. Can pass MVR and drive company vehicles and equipment (company trucks, lift beds, etc.) Experience ordering materials and supplies from electrical supply house. Ability to run job site as acting Foreman. Perform system layout, conduit bending, wire pulling, and panel terminations with precision and safety.
Education And/or Experience
High School Diploma Preferred. Experience with solar PV system installation, including AD/DC circuits. Familiarity with energy storage systems and hybrid solar+battery configurations. Basic electrical knowledge or licensure. Must have valid CA Driver's License.

Salary: $28 - $40 Hourly
