Department PD Patrol First-Year Earnings

First-year (Step 1) officers have an earning potential of approximately $87,000 with shift differential, built-in overtime, and holiday pay included. Special Teams and/or Special Assignments may increase earning opportunities. Important Notes

Employee is considered a “trainee” when hired as an out-of-state lateral officer until AZPOST Certification is achieved (approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on testing availability).
