High school assistant coaches work in concert with the assistant coach to ensure the growth and development of student athletes by focusing on fundamental skills instruction with an emphasis on whole child development to include expectations for academic and athletic excellence, leadership skills, and positive social relationships. POSITION SUMMARY : The assistant coach will be responsible for the development and growth of student athletes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Professional Development and Leadership. Responsibility for Rules and Regulations. Program Promotion. Program Organization. Standard of Care. Professionalism. Sportsmanship and Ethics. Administrative
responsibilities include: Supervision. Presentation of Rules/Regulations. Attention to Eligibility Rules. Accident/Injury Procedure. Media Contact. Meeting Attendance. Post-Season Awards Gathering. Responsibility for Playing Facility and Equipment. Violations and Ejections Procedure. Coach Evaluation Process. Assistant coach as Program Leader. Financial and Equipment
responsibilities include: Responsibility for Program Equipment, Supplies, and Inventory. Program Purchases. Fundraising Activities. OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES
include: Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and supporting student learning objectives. Required Qualifications
include: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior sport-specific playing and/or coaching experience. Proven training and experience in the presentation of drills, safety factors, and proper application of skills. Preferred Qualifications
include: Two or more years of paid high school and/or post-secondary sport-specific coaching experience. Completion of the National Federation Coaching Fundamentals Course. Condition Of Employment
includes: 19 years of age or older, per WIAA regulations. Criminal background clearance. First Aid and CPR certification. Online Concussion Training.
