Overview
Coalesce Management Consulting is partnering with a renewable energy developer delivering large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Texas. We are seeking an experienced Owner’s Representative to provide independent oversight and accountability on behalf of the developer. This role is critical for ensuring that EPCs and subcontractors meet contractual obligations, technical standards, and project milestones. As an Owner’s Representative, you will focus on project governance, risk management, and quality assurance, providing the developer with confidence that the project is delivered safely, on time, and to specification. Responsibilities
Represent the developer on-site, ensuring EPCs and subcontractors deliver per contract scope, schedule, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, schedule adherence, budget, and compliance with technical specifications. Review and validate EPC and subcontractor documentation, including QA/QC reports, permits, change orders, and submittals. Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary interface between the developer and all project stakeholders, including EPCs, subcontractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities. Identify risks, delays, or non-compliance issues, and coordinate corrective actions with the EPC and project team. Support commissioning and project handover, ensuring operational readiness and proper closeout documentation. Track project milestones and provide structured reporting to the developer’s project management team. Qualifications / Preferred Background
Experience delivering utility-scale BESS, solar, or substation projects from construction through commissioning. Strong understanding of EPC management, subcontractor oversight, and owner’s rep responsibilities. Knowledge of energy storage systems, inverters, transformers, and grid interconnection. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline preferred. Willingness to travel to multiple project sites across Texas. Strong understanding of safety, QA/QC, and regulatory compliance in energy storage projects.
