What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Research and identify potential school and district partners through outreach methods such as calls, emails, and social media - Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of prospects, setting appointments, and passing qualified leads to Account Managers - Establish and maintain strong relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events - Manage sales pipeline by keeping accurate records in the CRM system and tracking progress toward sales goals - Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field - Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, personal selling, and customer service - Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities - Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across various functions and with customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities - Proven leadership qualities and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively - Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
