What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Prospect and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach - Qualify prospects and set up appointments, passing along qualified leads to Account Managers - Establish and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events - Manage a pipeline of sales activities and maintain accurate records in the CRM system - Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and refine sales techniques
What is Required (Qualifications): - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field - Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, event management, or customer service - Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Sales Automation, CRM, or web-based software programs - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities - Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with peers, superiors, and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities - Proven leadership abilities demonstrated in previous roles - Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy execution
