Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for districts and territories. Work closely with Territory Managers to project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new properties. Ensure that plans are followed by Territory Managers to meet all goals. Assign and/or reassign accounts as necessary. Spearhead the recruitment, motivation, and development of Territory Managers for the assigned district; promote accountability, performance-based management, teamwork, and best practices to achieve organizational goals. Monitor, evaluate, and provide feedback to Territory Managers on progress toward goals. Coach and develop Territory Managers in balancing high productivity, quality, and customer service. Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations, corrective action, and terminations as necessary. Promote continuous training and development of associates. Lead and facilitate change management in support of organizational goals. Consult with Human Resources as appropriate. Work directly with Territory Managers and customers in the field by assisting on sales calls and providing constructive feedback to develop skills. Oversee training and educational programs for Territory Managers. Participate in major client presentations to ensure best-in-class customer service. Collaborate with operating divisions to create a collaborative work environment. Increase sales through account penetration by analyzing current sales and volume, planning sales calls, and following up. Utilize product knowledge, ROI and analytical tools (e.g., Phocas, GForce, Salesforce.com) and sales training resources to target new prospects. Maintain, build, and expand customer relationships. Communicate with internal departments to provide information necessary for servicing customers, including changes in product, merchandising, and new business. Provide advance notification to Operations about new customers or changes affecting orders or delivery. Monitor assigned accounts and take corrective action to maintain and improve customer satisfaction. Notify management if an existing account is jeopardized or issues remain unresolved. Work with accounts receivable to ensure timely payment of invoices. Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Experience

3 - 5 years of sales management experience in the B2B market segment preferred. 2 – 3 years of field sales experience Experience in food service sales is preferred. Professional Skills

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and professional interaction skills. Clear email and telephone communication. Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from clients, management and associates. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities; ability to lead team discussions and meetings. Collaborative management style; delegates responsibilities effectively. High level of trust and accountability; strong listening, negotiation, and closing skills. Financial acumen including pricing and forecasting; prioritize and manage multiple priorities/deadlines. Proactive in addressing customer needs and soliciting feedback to improve service. Computer literacy with MS Office and familiarity with CRM/analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Phocas, Gforce). Knowledge of Box and PeopleSoft is a plus. Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Work Environment

Role may be based in a normal office or a remote home-based office depending on territory. Moderate noise level; travel to and from Territory Managers, customers and prospects as needed; overnight travel may be required for company events, district meetings, training, vendor fairs, and client appointments. May require use of personal vehicle for business travel; must maintain a valid driver’s license. Remote workers must have a dedicated workspace and reliable communications software. Evening and weekend work may be required based on customer needs. Seniority level
