Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division is seeking a Field Services Construction Manager to lead the on-site execution of startup and commissioning projects for major data center clients in Columbus, OH. This role offers a company vehicle and relocation assistance is provided! The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750 - $137,500 a year. What You’ll Do Oversee all phases of project delivery including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Receive job handoffs and complete initial technical, scope of work, and scheduling requirement reviews. Utilize necessary project management tools, software, and other resources to maintain adherence to key milestones and deliverables on site. Own coordination of project meetings (internal and external) and formal communication plans to key project stakeholder Coordinate and navigate Eaton scheduling and work activities around other trades, driving execution efficiencies for Eaton and customer Determine mechanisms required for successful job closeout (punch lists / issue resolution, internal warranty, transition to owner or other entity). Serve as primary point of contact throughout duration of EESS activities on site. Collaborate with our District Operations team to communicate any safety program initiatives, concerns, or oversights to customer, contractor, and subcontractor stakeholders. Provide financial oversight through cost control, warranty, change order management, and risk mitigation. Work closely with commercial operations teams, including North American Sales (NAS) Project Management Organization, sales engineers, and EESS Technical Application Support (TAS) organization to reconcile client expectations with order commitments, change orders, and timelines. Implement and cascade requirements associated with any program level initiatives or changes from technical program managers within the Strategic Operations organization. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members; demonstrate advanced project management, operational and commercial competencies to help develop team effectiveness. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience leading and/or managing electrical, construction, or industrial projects. Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: PMP or Commissioning Agent Certification 5+ years electrical field services experience. 5+ years managing electrical construction or commissioning projects as project manager or construction manager. Proficiency in project management and construction industry software packages (Microsoft Project, ProCore, etc.). OSHA 10 & 30 hour general industry or construction certification. Skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide daily updates to involved parties keeping them well-informed and synchronized. Able to work effectively in a distributed workforce and at customer job sites. Ability to influence without authority, specifically through coordination with other trades and contractors on site. Broad understanding of project management methodologies. Strong analytical skills, computer, and organizational skills. Basic understanding of product applications and customer needs. Must be able to lead and manage upwards and downwards. Handles pressures well. Able to influence without authority and work collaboratively with internal and external businesses and stakeholders. Submit to periodic customer required background and drug screenings. Technical skills required to understand legal documents and technical drawings.
