Job Overview The Account Executive, SMB Team Sales role at T‑Mobile is a hunter position focused on acquiring new accounts with small and medium‑sized businesses (1‑299 employees) in the Grand Rapids area. The role involves prospecting, cold‑calling, networking, and closing new business by selling T‑Mobile’s wireless products and solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Generate and work leads in developed and underdeveloped territories through prospecting, cold calling, and networking under sales manager supervision.

Sell T‑Mobile wireless solutions—price plans, data services, handsets, and accessories—by demonstrating the company’s value to customers.

Present proposals and close deals in accordance with sales objectives.

Develop prospecting and relationship‑management skills through product training and sales meetings.

Create effective sales approaches, solutions, and proposals.

Use sales‑force automation to manage the funnel, report on activities, and forecast results.

Education and Work Experience

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

1+ years of verifiable new‑customer acquisition sales experience in a commissioned environment (Required)

Outside B2B sales experience (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Task Management: ability to work well in a fast‑changing environment with high multi‑tasking (Required)

Customer Service: demonstrated experience delivering superior service with attention to detail (Required)

Communication: excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills (Required)

Negotiation: effective closing skills including communication, emotional intelligence, and problem‑solving (Required)

Cold Calling: ability to cold call or door‑knock (Preferred)

Prospect Management: experience guiding potential leads from initial contact to conversion (Preferred)

CRM: experience using Salesforce or similar systems to manage relationships (Preferred)

Proposal Writing: experience preparing and delivering proposals and pricing quotations (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

At least 18 years of age

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Travel Travel Required: Yes

Compensation Total Target Cash Pay Range: $71,800 – $129,400, inclusive of target incentives. Base Pay Range: $43,080 – $77,640.

Employees in regular, non‑temporary Retail and Business Sales roles are eligible for monthly or quarterly sales incentives in addition to the base and incentive compensation.
