The Sunnyside Assistant Store Manager

is responsible for assisting in the management of all day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with state law and Company standards. This position supports and oversees dispensary staff, including recruiting, training, coaching, development, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The Assistant Store Manager champions a culture aligned with the company’s core values and mission. Responsibilities include inventory management, building customer loyalty, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will have: Experience leading and managing a team of hourly members; skills include recruiting, onboarding, training, managing employee relations and coaching. People Management: Develop, coach, and inspire employees to achieve goals through regular feedback and career development planning. Assist Human Resources and leadership in managing employee relations issues. Participate in staffing and recruiting efforts. Create and communicate an effective weekly labor schedule while complying with Sunnyside guidelines and labor laws. Respond to employee questions or concerns and communicate resource needs to management; solicit feedback and help implement resolutions. Communicate regulatory changes and their implications to staff. Ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and customers. Facilitate training and onboarding, including coaching on selling and cross-selling techniques. Sales & Operational Excellence: Perform store opening and closing procedures and related tasks on busy shifts. Manage and delegate daily operations while addressing challenges and escalations. Create and deliver accurate reports to management. Resolve escalated cash, POS, or product discrepancies. Maintain records of dispensary activities including cash reconciliations, customer records, sales, deliveries, and returns. Support outreach efforts and community partnerships to build a positive image and drive brand awareness. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and state/local laws. Assist management and Compliance teams in inspections or audits. Required Experience, Education and Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years’ experience in retail management or equivalent experience with teams of 5+ employees; Cannabis experience preferred. Excellent and demonstrated training experience. Excellent customer service and conflict management skills. Ability to learn, apply, and teach product information in a professional consultative manner. Proficient in MS Office; highly proficient in MS Excel with data entry and data management experience. Strong business acumen with excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills. High integrity, self-motivation, and sense of urgency. After-hours work required. This is a non-exempt role and eligible for overtime. Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). Benefits

In accordance with local and state compensation laws, the listed compensation range is current and may be adjusted by factors such as location, market data, skills, and experience.
