Responsibilities
Provide a high level of customer service to residents and Team Members by achieving the standards outlined in the MG CARES program.
Assists with planning, coordinating, and participating in a variety of social events/outings to provide a vibrant and active community life to residents.
Engages residents, families, and the external community in activities and volunteer opportunities that promote socialization, expand personal interests, increase physical activity, and continue education.
Tracks resident activity participation and works with the Assisted Living Program Director to adjust calendar events accordingly.
Stays abreast of active aging and generational trends to enhance the community program and shares best practices with community staff and Active Living Program Directors.
Assists with developing community communications, such as activity calendars, to residents, families, and prospective residents.
Transports and/or accompanies residents to and from outside activities, shopping trips, and appointments in community vehicles.
Sets up and cleans up activities (e.g., moving furniture, setting up tables and chairs).
Acknowledges residents’ special days (anniversaries and birthdays).
Conducts community tours when necessary.
Participates in all in‑service training and education programs as scheduled.
Assists with ordering and managing supplies for all activities.
Takes responsibility for vehicle inspection as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School diploma required; College degree or equivalent preferred.
One to two years of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement.
Preference for social activity involvement.
Senior living experience preferred.
Physical Requirements This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
