Developing Activities: Collaborate with the Active Living Program Director to design and implement activities suitable for residents transitioning from AL to Memory Care. Delivering, leading, or conducting program activities effectively. Coordinating at least one family activity per month. Presenting a professional demeanor that embodies service, goodwill, and genuine interest in residents’ needs. Familiarizing yourself with residents in the community. Observing residents’ ability to perform daily ADLs and social skills, reporting potential issues or opportunities to appropriate staff. Encouraging and motivating residents in all areas, assisting when necessary. Participating in all employer-provided training. Assuming duties of Activities staff in their absence. Skill requirements
Maintain confidentiality of employer, team members, and residents. Follow written and verbal instructions. Accurately maintain all department-related records. Effectively communicate ideas both verbally and in writing. Utilize active listening skills when engaging with residents and team members. Represent and promote activities and programs as a team member. Organize and manage both information and time effectively. Qualifications
High School diploma required; College Degree or equivalent preferred. One to two years of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement. Experience in social activity involvement (preferred). Senior living experience (preferred). Physical requirements
This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
