General Responsibilities
The Senior Insurance Analyst administers day to day operational elements of Crown’s risk management program, including coverage placement, claims analysis, loss reporting & benchmark analysis, contract review, and renewal oversight & submission in support of the company’s global operations. The position also oversees the compliance of Certificates of Insurance and Letters of Indemnity and serves as consult on insurance provisions within contract and indemnification agreements. The Senior Insurance Analyst also serves as Administrator of the Risk Management Department’s RMIS system and internal department web page content & design. The position requires a detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to the risk management discipline.
Working Relationships
The position is part of the Corporate Finance team and interacts with five areas of the company’s operating divisions, including Americas, EMEA, Asia, Transit, and Corporate. The position interacts on daily basis with brokers, insurers, and multiple RMIS vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities
Department Support
Assist in managing the strategy, placement, and execution of company’s insurance programs, including assistance in marketing strategy, underwriting data collection, actuarial analysis, pricing, preparation of renewal submission, and integration of new properties & acquisitions
Serve as technical expert for company’s ERM and RMIS systems, including Riskonnect, Logicgate, NetClaim, and RiskIQ platforms, including creation and analysis of reports
Maintain company’s global master insurance location schedule including maintenance to ensure continuity of coverage for all operating divisions
Gather and analyze exposure data and prepare underwriting submissions in support of global insurance programs
Assist with preparation and distribution of property & liability premium allocations
Oversee global claims reporting and administration, including use of RMIS & claims systems
Oversee control processes for payment of invoices, surety bonds, collateral, premium allocation, as well as assistance in resolution of accounting issues
Review and prepare all policy invoicing and ensure timely broker delivery for payment
Track Captive’s reinsurance claims payments to insurers via RMIS system
Create reports, insurance schedules, loss runs, and presentations as requested
Manage outgoing certificate of insurance process, including provision evidence of coverage. Review incoming certificates and Letters of Indemnity with internal Sourcing Department, Legal Dept & facilities as required; manage auto ID cards as required by Fleet Manager
Workers Compensation Claims Support
Create and analyze workers compensation loss reports to identify loss trends and distribution to division senior management
Develop quarterly benchmarking exhibits for workers compensation claims, including analysis of costs for distribution to each division’s senior leadership
Liaise and troubleshoot with Crown field personnel and insurance carrier personnel on various workers compensation claim matters. Research specific claim data via carrier information systems
Liaise with insurers, Environment, Health & Safety and Corporate personnel on workers compensation claims
Other special projects and assignments as needed
Job Qualifications
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in related field
Minimum of five (5) years of corporate risk management, underwriting, or brokerage experience
Strong interpersonal and time management skills, ability to communicate effectively with company leadership, as well as insurance & manufacturing industry professionals
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Proficient knowledge of RMIS systems, as well as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Workers Compensation claims experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to manage complex internal requests touching all parts of global organization
Desire to learn and grow with the company
ARM, CPCU, CRM, RIMS-CRMP or other insurance industry designation is a plus
