Secret Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Cost Estimator located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, the GBG Division Cost Estimating, and Analysis Services (DCEAS) provides cost estimating and analysis support to programs within the GBG Financial Systems Division. Experience Has the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing. Typically works independently and applies the proper procedures and processes related to their area of expertise. Has the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines. Must have experience using the Automated Cost Estimating and Integrated Tool (ACEIT) Suite - Required Must have experience building and communicating Program Office Estimates (POEs) - Required Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD; OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications, five of which must be in the DoD. Essential Duties/Position Description The contractor shall have the ability to manage, oversee/lead, or perform scientific work that involves designing, developing, and adapting mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques. The work also involves analyzing management problems and providing advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems. Use of routine cost estimating methods such as analogy, engineering or scientific methodology, and extrapolation; Use of cost estimating outputs to assess the impact various factors have on the costs to design, research, develop, operate, maintain, and dispose of a particular weapon system; Most appropriate phase of the budgetary cycle (planning, programming, justification, or execution) for initiating new programs; Analyzing all elements affecting costs for a project of limited scope; Analyzing contractor financial data using EVM measures of merit to determine program viability with respect cost and schedule performance; Use of the ACEIT Tool Suite to perform all program office estimates which is mandatory use for working in the BES Directorate (AFLCMC/GB) for all information systems cost estimator positions (Junior, Journeyman, Senior, Principal, Hybrid); Analytical processes, such as: Setting up the problem, Conducting background research, Collecting and reducing data, Displaying data for analysis, Formulating mathematical expressions, and, Drawing conclusions.
