About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions. This position supports the DUH ED, a level 1 trauma center that operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The PRMO is responsible for ensuring all patients who present are registered in a timely and proficient manner. The DUH ED sees an average of over 6,000 patients per month. The Financial Care Counselor will work from 6 pm-6 am, Friday through Sunday, and is responsible for arriving patients, trauma patients, EMS patients completing full registrations at bedside, eligibility and benefit verification, POS collections, reconciliation of daily collections, work queues to include patient and claim edits, and functions for Duke ED and hospital admissions after North closes. Additional responsibilities include covering for HIM after hours and scheduling appointments for eye and ortho patients. Responsibilities and Impact

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred. Additional training or working knowledge of related business. Experience

Two years of experience working in hospital service access, clinical service access, a physician's office, or billing and collections. Or, an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field and one year of experience working with the public. Or, a bachelor's degree and one year of experience working with the public.
