As a Billing/Coding Senior Manager on the Regulatory Compliance team, you will provide expert billing and coding support to payer contracting, managed care, and legal teams. You will research, evaluate, and proactively communicate vital billing and coding information based on authoritative coding and billing guidelines. The ideal candidate has detailed billing and coding experience related to hospital inpatient and outpatient services and is adept at assessing regulatory and contractual provisions. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive education and assistance regarding billing, coding, and regulatory changes to strategic colleagues. Support and/or lead special projects with coding and billing compliance expertise. Serve as a valuable resource for corporate, hospital, and Parallon colleagues. Demonstrate exceptional leadership through innovation, knowledge sharing, and best practices when collaborating with customers and peers. Assist payor relation managed care and legal teams in preparing for rate sheet changes and reviewing technical billing requirements. Apply medical terminology, disease processes, billing and coding guidelines, and effective communication skills to daily tasks. Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Evaluate payer‑specific coding guidelines and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Qualifications
Minimum: 7+ years in hospital coding, revenue cycle, or related healthcare experience; bachelor’s degree required. Education & Experience
Seven (7) years in hospital coding, revenue cycle, or related healthcare experience (required). Preferred experience in a leadership role. Bachelor’s degree (required). Licenses, Certifications & Training
Registered Health Information Technician/Administrator preferred. Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) considered. Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) considered. EEO Statement
