The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, internal controls, and financial reporting functions. Responsibility includes overseeing the general ledger, month-end close, and preparation of financial statements ensuring the organization is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This position ensures accurate and timely submission of Medicare cost reports and external audits and other reporting to stakeholders. The Controller collaborates with the CFO and department leaders in developing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. This position reports to the CFO and oversees payroll and accounts payable. Pay: $110,000 - $144,000 Annually BOE Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental, 403b retirement plan available, EOE Major Duties & Responsibilities

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. CPA Preferred. Five to seven years experience in a finance role. Minimum 3 years in a management role and 3 years in a healthcare environment. Critical Access Hospital experienced preferred. Must be capable of using and understanding Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Power Point, etc., electronic health records software experience, and Sage cloud-based accounting software preferred. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Regulatory knowledge of Medicare cost-based reimbursement, Medicaid rules, and 340B compliance preferred. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting along with variance analysis. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to lead small finance teams and coordinate with department leaders to produce quality reporting within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.
