Cash Position Manager
Prepare the daily cash position for AEP and all subsidiary companies. This includes consolidation and tracking of cash inflows and outflows, maintenance of corporate internal bank balances and execution of electronic funds transfers. Prepare short‑term forecasting and executing short‑term borrowings and investments. Coordinate the recording and reporting of borrowing and investing transactions both long‑term and short‑term deals. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transaction entry, cash flows and accounting on the system. Ensure accuracy of reports and compliance requirements. Open, close and maintain bank accounts. This position is full‑time onsite in Columbus, OH.
What You’ll Do
Prepare or assist with preparation of accurate and timely daily cash position for AEP and all subsidiary companies.
Execute short‑term borrowing and investment deals.
Open, close and maintain bank accounts.
Assist with coordination of other departments to forecast daily cash needs and funds flows.
Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash movements and coordinate with various departments to minimize differences.
Monitor balances at the bank and in corporate borrowing program.
Execute daily electronic funds movements to fund AEP bank accounts and other payments.
Record banking, inter‑company receivables and corporate internal bank transactions.
Assist with data requests from audits and other requesters.
Perform balancing and analyze variances between banking, treasury and general ledger transactions.
Coordinate People Soft entry for short / long term debt and investment deals.
Assist in system set‑up, testing and implementation of new and changed deals.
Ensure SOX compliance.
Ensure updated documented procedures.
Participate in cross training.
What We’re Looking For Education requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.

Physical demand level is Sedentary: These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, preemployment testing, expectations about travel, shift work, etc.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office software with an emphasis on spreadsheets.
Solid knowledge of financial theory and experience with systems and technology.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Compensation Range : $52,488.00‑65,610.50 USD
The Physical Demand Level for this job is : S Sedentary Work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
