Construction Contracts Administrator

Position Overview
As a Contract Administrator will mitigate risk through the effective review, negotiating and administration of all contractual documentation.
Primary Responsibilities
Administers public works and private contracts/subcontracts which can be complex in nature
Negotiates favorable contract terms and build positive relationships with company’s partners
Identifies and rectify any potential mistakes or discrepancies in contractual documents
Serves as a point of contact for communication and resolution of contract issues and disputes
Works closely with Estimators/Project Managers/Management to complete all contractual documents
Stays up to date with all laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact to company
Reviews prime contracts and specifications
Logs and tracks contracts and other contractual documents
Produces certificates of insurance required for Projects
Completes all OCIP/CCIP/UCIP enrollment forms
Orders and track surety bonds
Tracks contract deadlines, compliance requirements, amendments, and renewals
Ensures company policies and procedures align with construction industry regulations
Maintains organized electronic files
Prepares communications, such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence
Performs miscellaneous clerical functions as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, compliance requirements and document control
Excellent customer service skills
Strong analytical skills
Keen attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interacts effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
Adapts to changing priorities and deadlines with ease
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Education and/or Experience
A minimum of 6+ years of contract administration in construction is preferable
Understanding of Labor Unions and Labor Agreements a plus
Proficient in Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
