The Legislative Resource Attorney supports the Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children, helping state leaders better understand and address the issues facing children in our communities. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with legislators, state agencies, and advocates to shape meaningful policy and promote positive change. Preferred Qualifications

Strongly prefer completion of Child Law Concentration in conjunction with law degree and experience in research of policy issues and preparation of reports.

Prefer at least two years of experience staffing a legislative committee and organizing hearings or public events.

Knowledge of children’s policy issues and functions of state government.

Experience in desktop publishing and/or website maintenance and social media would be a plus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to work effectively with members of the Joint Committee and other elected and appointed officials.

Ability to analyze issues and project impact of policy.

Excellent computer skills and communication skills, both written and oral.

Highly organized and attentive to detail.
