Overview

Substitute Nutrition Site Coordinator – Various Locations. This is a part-time/on-call role to support Senior Meal Sites in Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Clatsop, and Tillamook counties during absences of the assigned Meal Site Coordinator. Responsibilities

Coordinate activities during the operation of the nutrition site. Receive, hold and serve all foods, following proper health and sanitation procedures. Deliver meals to homebound clients as applicable for site and need. Recruit, supervise, schedule, train and instruct volunteers to assist at the meal site. Receive fees and donations, complete bank deposit slips, make deposits and record transactions. Prepare monthly meal site records and send to supervisor according to established schedule. Provide information regarding the program to community groups and organize outreach activities. Plan and coordinate special events at the meal site. Maintain and share information according to privacy regulations. Serve as a Mandatory Reporter of suspected abuse of vulnerable populations as required by policy and regulation. Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of equivalent education and/or experience demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities to perform essential functions. High School diploma or GED. Two years of experience in community service that includes supervising others, plus six months of food handling experience. Skills and Knowledge

General: ability to support Agency mission and core values; strong interpersonal skills; commitment to client confidentiality and mandatory reporting; ability to work independently and manage own workload; good communication and problem-solving abilities; basic technology proficiency. Job Specific: knowledge of Nutrition program policies, ability to interact with elderly people and volunteers, maintain accurate records, supervise meal site activities, perform arithmetic for money handling, communicate program information to community groups, familiarity with local elderly population and community resources, professional representation of the Agency. Other Requirements

Current food handler permit or ability to obtain prior to hire. Ability to secure and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license. Regular attendance is essential; successful background check required. Physical demands: ability to stand, walk, speak, hear; lift up to 30 pounds; occasional travel for delivering meals; potential exposure to home environments and varied conditions; reasonable accommodations available.
