Senior Laboratory Operations Information Technology Specialist
Amentum is seeking Senior Laboratory Operations Information Technology Specialists to join our team. We are looking for individuals to provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. You will be part of our growing systems, information technology & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Apply your skills to the latest DoD weapons and sensor systems, modernizing the Navy and contributing to mission success. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel. Job duties include:
Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others. Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university Ten (10) years of experience in Naval Tactical Systems or Information Technology Eight (8) years of experience demonstrating an established knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the SOW. Requires a DoD 8570.01-M or successor Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification. Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.
