Position Summary: Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Nurse Aide Program Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of its Nurse Aide Certification Program. This role supports program delivery, instructor oversight, student success, and clinical site partnerships while ensuring strict adherence to Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) regulations.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination: Develop, revise, and maintain course schedules and instructional materials; coordinate logistics with instructors, clinical sites, and administrators; track and support student enrollment, progression, and completion; oversee classroom supply inventory.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all PDE and federal regulations; maintain program approval/accreditation through timely reporting; oversee certification testing and licensure procedures; manage required documentation and prepare for biennial state audits; incorporate updates aligned with healthcare law and policy changes.
Clinical Site Management: Sustain clinical site partnerships; ensure student compliance with clinical health and safety standards; monitor and address issues during clinical placements; collaborate with sites to ensure program and regulatory alignment.
Faculty Oversight: Train and support Nurse Aide instructors; monitor instructor performance and conduct classroom observations; ensure instructional quality and regulatory compliance; submit and maintain instructor certification paperwork.
Student Success & Support: Lead student onboarding and orientation sessions; ensure students meet the requirements for class; maintain accurate student records pertaining to attendance, health and academics; guide students through program, testing, and certification milestones; manage scholarships where appropriate; oversee remediation and address concerns related to certification or compliance.
Qualifications Education
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field in Healthcare, Administration
Experience
Experience in staff development, or teaching/training within the healthcare field
Experience in program coordination, compliance, or administrative oversight preferred
Certification
Completion of the Nurse Aide “Teaching the Educator” course required
Skills
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Keen attention to detail and regulatory documentation
Effective verbal and written communication
Collaborative and proactive leadership abilities
Proficiency in Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing nurse aide or healthcare education programs
Knowledge of PDE and Department of Health (DOH) requirements
