Controller - Food Business

WhiteCap Search . Our client is a well-established, family-owned specialty food business and a beloved New York institution seeking a Controller to oversee the Accounting and Finance operations. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with leadership responsibilities and room for growth. Location: New York, NY. Base pay range

Prepare US GAAP-compliant financial statements for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting. Manage the full accounting cycle, including financial and cost accounting, AR/AP, revenue, treasury, and tax. Oversee HR, payroll, procurement, and inventory management functions. Implement or upgrade systems and processes across accounting, finance, procurement, and inventory. Manage payroll operations using a Full Suite HR/payroll system. Lead short- and long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Analyze business unit performance and conduct project-level financial modeling for profitability and pricing strategies. Qualifications
8 years of accounting and/or audit experience, ideally within the grocery retail, general retail, or food/beverage production industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel. Hands-on experience with accounting software systems. Disclosures
