Residential Loan Processor – Peoples Bank
Job Summary
Process, document, fund and disburse, in a timely and efficient manner, all types of mortgage loans. Requires an understanding of Bank's loan and related system and software applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Process a pipeline of residential loans.
Maintain exceptional customer experience throughout the loan process by communicating directly with customers while focusing on and addressing their needs.
Prepare mortgage disclosures in a timely manner.
Obtain relevant information and documentation from clients, realtors, title companies, appraisers, and anyone associated with the loan process in a timely manner.
Demonstrate sound judgement in escalation of sensitive client matters and in analysis of potential risk to the bank.
Remain informed on Bank policies and procedures.
Attend and participate in meetings, seminars and training as required.
Responsible for miscellaneous tasks as assigned; assisting in daily operations of department as needed.
Relationships and Contacts
Reports to Retail Lending Operations Manager for fulfillment of job responsibilities and goals.
Interacts with Department staff, including but not limited to Underwriters, closers, Loan Servicing and Loan Operations, to accomplish duties and maintain internal relationships.
Work with Mortgage Banker's assigned to them to process files in a timely manner.
Interact with borrowers, realtors and title companies.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years of previous mortgage processing experience required.
Experience with Encompass preferred.
Strong PC skills and ability to use all related business equipment.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and due dates.
Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
An independent action taker with an ability to work as a team member in a fast paced environment demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to follow established processes and procedures to maintain effective controls.
Possesses ability to be proactive and innovative for process evaluation and improvement.
