Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Processor is responsible for processing various commercial loans in a timely and efficient manner at the direction of Business Bankers, providing support for the Commercial Loan Processing Team Lead, following best practices for all commercial loan processing functions consistent with the Bank's mission and strategic objectives, being a proactive team member, and ensuring support for internal and external customers meets bank expectations.
This position reports to the Commercial Loan Processing Team Lead and interacts with bank‑wide departmental personnel of all levels, business bankers, business banking assistants, and credit teams, requiring contact with a variety of third parties including vendors, community, and professional organizations.
Responsibilities
Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers
Process commercial loans in a timely and efficient manner
Collaborate with team members, including functional training and cross‑training
Maximize technology to provide a consistent customer experience
Document Preparation
Review all new loan requests and renewals in nCino and assign the work for completion of the loan file
Process and document new loans and loan renewals to meet all requirements
Book Loans
Upload loans to the core system in a timely and accurate manner
Post Closing
Understand the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) system and process
Process requests for advances and payments on Commercial Lines of Credit and Floor Plans
Prepare and process loan payoffs, including preparation of loan release(s) and return of paid/released documents to customer
Daily office tasks include:
Assist with daily mail
Process and approve wires
Image daily work as needed
Verify accounts
Assist with workflow requests
Follow FDICIA and SOx controls
Work to ensure compliance with all bank policies, applicable laws and regulations for assigned functional areas
Serve as subject‑matter expert (SME) for technologies utilized, products, and vendor relationships
Collaborate with technology leads to drive value from technology and vendor investments
Collaborate and drive process improvements and procedural enhancements
Pursue professional development and training opportunities to ensure the Bank's environment and personal skillsets remain future‑proof and forward‑thinking
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years mortgage/commercial processing experience
Excellent collaborative leadership and communication skills
Proactive and independent action‑taker
Quick technology learner and early adopter
Sound judgement and decision‑making responsibilities
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency with related software tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, banking core, loan origination, processing, and servicing systems preferred
