About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled
Technical Accounting Manager
to lead complex accounting initiatives and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other relevant standards. This role will be instrumental in evaluating new transactions, implementing accounting policies, and supporting financial reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep technical expertise and a passion for driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, equity investments, and other complex transactions.
Research and interpret new accounting standards; develop and implement related policies and procedures.
Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos to support conclusions and audit requirements.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to assess accounting implications of new business initiatives and contracts.
Support the preparation of financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and ensure SOX compliance.
Act as a primary liaison with external auditors during audits and reviews.
Provide guidance and training to team members on technical accounting topics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate technical accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 842); familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
Demonstrated experience with complex accounting areas such as consolidations, intercompany arrangements, and multi-entity reporting.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience in capital-intensive or regulated industries (e.g., energy, infrastructure, technology).
Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and financial tools (Blackline, Power BI, Tableau).
Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
