Maintain the practice management system by entering accurate data and managing insurance and claims information
Prepare, review, submit, and follow up with clean claims to various companies and individuals
Collect, post, and manage patient account payments
Investigate rejected claims to identify reasons for denials and correct claims accordingly
Provide timely and professional customer service by resolving patient billing issues and answering inquiries
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of billing experience
Minimum of 3 years of healthcare experience preferred
Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, medical insurance, and general accounting principles
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
