Overview
Our office, Triangle Implant Center - Mebane, is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Insurance Coordinator to join our busy specialty practice. This role focuses on ensuring patients receive the maximum benefits from their insurance coverage while maintaining compliance with billing and insurance regulations.
Your Responsibilities
Verify patients’ dental insurance coverage and benefits
Obtain pre-authorizations for treatments by communicating with insurance companies
Help patients understand their insurance coverage and estimated costs
Submit accurate and timely insurance claims electronically and by mail
Follow up on outstanding claims, appeals, and denials
Manage insurance claims efficiently with timely submission and follow-up
Coordinate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers to resolve discrepancies or issues related to claims
Maintain organized files and records of insurance-related documents
Stay updated on changes in Medicaid regulations and insurance policies
Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient information and treatment codes
Provide excellent customer service for insurance-related inquiries and concerns
Educate patients on payment options for uncovered services
Provide clerical support as needed and assist with other office responsibilities as required
Your Background
Previous experience in a similar role (dental insurance, billing, or coding) preferred
Experience in insurance claims processing, including Medicaid and NC Tracks, highly valued
High school diploma or equivalent required
Familiarity with dental practice management software and Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of dental documentation requirements and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and insurers
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records
Problem-solving skills to address insurance claim discrepancies and denials
Professional, patient-centric attitude with a strong commitment to customer service

Additional Information Position Base Pay Range: $21 - $25 USD
