Divisional Overview The Corporate finance team performs global and seamless Finance operations including trading and product control, Group financial reporting and disclosure, management information and reporting for decision support, planning and development of financial strategy including funding policies and financial analysis, funding and cash management, tax planning and reporting, investor relations management, and much more.

Business Unit Overview Treasury is responsible for funding the Firm and ensuring that adequate liquidity is maintained in all market conditions. It provides funding solutions to the businesses while managing financial risks and minimizing interest and operational costs. There are 4 separate teams, each under the remit of a manager who reports into the Head of Treasury, Powai. These groups are:

Regulatory reporting

The Regulatory reporting team in Powai is responsible for Liquidity Basel 3 regulatory reporting like LCR and NSFR to multiple regulators around the world. The team also provides analysis for multiple senior management committees and forums like ALCO.

Planning & Analysis

The Planning & Analysis team in Powai drive measuring, monitoring and analysis as per Firm’s internal Liquidity Stress Models. The team is also responsible for analytics required for Global Treasury key decision making. Primary responsibilities include MCO, Box report, Long Term Debt, FX Rollover risk, Management Packs etc.

Funding Support

The Funding team in Powai contribute to Daily Treasury bookings, and provide management information on Global and Regional Funding Programs, Management of funds and cost allocations for Nomura

Liquidity Risk Management

The Liquidity Risk Management team in Powai supports various activities like Forecasting, Scenario Planning, IRRBB, FTP, ALM and Liquidity Risk Modelling to drive strategic initiatives for Treasury

Role & Responsibilities

IC role responsible for Key Regulatory Reporting Treasury deliverables

Liquidity Basel 3 regulatory reporting like LCR and NSFR to multiple regulators (JFSA, MAS, PRA, EBA and BaFin)

Measuring, monitoring, and analysing liquidity as per firm’s Internal Liquidity Stress Model / Asset Liability Mismatch (ALM) model

Enhance Reporting controls framework and governance with focus on error identification

Drive implementation of new / revised Liquidity requirements

Provide detailed analysis to enable Global Treasury key decision making

Extensive liaison with regional and local Liquidity Management and Finance teams in US, HK, Tokyo, London, and Frankfurt

Collaborate with IT team to enhance, develop and maintain Liquidity calculation tools

Contribute to Process and System improvements, enhancements, refinements

Knowledge enhancement through rotation within Treasury team across Internal Liquidity Management and External Regulatory Reporting

Staff development / cross training to ensure career progression of team, retention of key individuals and creation of succession plan / key backups

Experience of Assurance (Internal Audit / External Audit / Oversight) on Financial Reporting / Treasury/ Liquidity Reporting / Capital Reporting is a must

Minimum 4 - 5 years previous experience in Assurance (Internal Audit / External Audit / Oversight) space with audit/ oversight conducted of Investment Banks/ Global Financial Institutions

Excellent communication skills & ability to communicate ideas concisely and clearly & ability to work in stringent deadlines

Ability to deliver accurate reports within agreed timelines

Past working experience in Assurance (Internal Audit / External Audit / Oversight) in Treasury / Liquidity Reporting profile is desirable

Big 4 or Big 6 experience is a plus

CFA or FRM qualification is desirable

Technical

Must be very good with Advanced excel, word and PowerPoint

Inquisitive mind-set and extremely good attention to detail

Tableau, Power BI and Macros knowledge would be an advantage
