Senior Claims Specialist

We are inviting the right leader to join our team and help us drive rapid growth. Key Role and Responsibilities
Communicate and report losses to third party administrator. Provide oversight and guidance to third party administrator. Actively review claims each month to ensure proper handling & reserving. Actively identify claims with subrogation potential, submit to vendor, and drive timely returns. Work with operations managers and supervisors to secure appropriate claim documentation. Gather internal information/documentation to assist third party administrators in claims investigation. Interact with counsel and provide direction on litigated claims. Attend claims meetings and mediations as required. Assist with claims audits. Gather documentation for litigation discovery requests for review. Review accident reports and document dash‑cam video information in the claims files. Gather, review, and analyze claims data to improve efficiency, claims handling, and reserving. Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4‑year university. Minimum of three years of auto liability (bodily injury and property damage) and/or general liability claims handling experience. Working knowledge of claims handling and claims litigation. Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of claims handling software. Experience with the Microsoft suite of products, specifically Excel. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Excellent customer service, organizational and analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, policy and procedure manuals, legal documents and government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and other employees. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and apply them to the situation. Location: Lenexa, KS | Salary: $91,225.00-$172,200.00 | Workweek: Monday through Friday, 40 hours.
