Assistant Pastor

Overview Under direct supervision, perform and coordinate religious services and related programs, including prayer meetings, sermons, worship services, Bible studies, youth programs, and visitation for sick and elderly. Under direction, organize and review curriculum for Bible study and supervise Sunday school teachers and volunteer servants. Plan and provide age-appropriate Bible teaching materials for Sunday Services and Bible studies. Assist in officiating weddings, baptisms, and funerals. Assist the Senior Pastor in leading the people in public worship and sermons.

Responsibilities

Conduct and coordinate prayer meetings, deliver sermons, worship services, Bible studies, youth programs, and visitation for sick and elderly under direct supervision.

Organize and review curriculum for Bible study and supervise Sunday school teachers and volunteer servants under direction.

Plan and provide age-appropriate Bible teaching materials to use during Sunday services and Bible studies.

Assist in officiating weddings, baptisms, and funerals.

Assist the Senior Pastor to lead the people in public worship and sermons.

Requirements

Master of Divinity or Related.
