There are 3 levels within the Loan Credit Analyst job family, each with progressive responsibilities. Level 1 Responsibilities
Contact borrowers and track receipt of financial information as required by loan documents. Analyze financial statements to assess strengths and weaknesses related to operational performance. Review and complete bank loan documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare detailed written analyses for various loan relationships and ensure compliance testing. Research industry-specific information from various sources and assist loan officers with inquiries. Present loan reviews to committees, including risk ratings and supporting analysis. Maintain credit files, perform credit analysis, generate reports, and monitor financial statements. Conduct due diligence, risk ratings, and compliance testing for loan portfolios. Participate in training to develop credit analysis skills and stay updated on policies and regulations. Ensure compliance with banking laws and regulations, including AML statutes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Level 1
0-2 years of banking or financial services experience. Experience in financial or credit analysis preferred. Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with EasyLender, Cleartouch, OnBase preferred. High School Diploma required; Bachelor's preferred. Level 2 Responsibilities
Analyze financial statements and prepare in-depth credit analyses for commercial loan requests, including CRE and C&I. Work with loan officers to gather financial information and assess borrower performance. Review loan structures for risks or policy exceptions and recommend modifications. Possess expert knowledge of industry and bank credit procedures. Manage relationships with service providers, set expectations, and measure performance. Qualifications and Skills Level 2
3-5 years of financial or credit analysis experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience in banking or financial services preferred. Level 3 Responsibilities
Lead special projects and collaborate across functions. Mentor junior staff, including credit analysts and loan officers. Support training, relationship building, and strategic initiatives. Qualifications and Skills Level 3
7-10 years of experience in financial or credit analysis. Experience leading teams or mentoring required. The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be amended. The physical environment involves typical office activities, with some lifting and movement up to 25 pounds.
