Relationship Banker II | SPC/Champaign
The Relationship Banker II combines expertise in customer service, sales, and operational management at an advanced level. This role blends teller responsibilities with personal banking duties and requires deep knowledge of banking products, customer service, and operational processes. The Relationship Banker II handles more complex transactions, provides guidance to less experienced staff, and continues to build customer relationships while promoting the bank’s services. Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service & Relationship Management
Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, building lasting relationships. Serve as a trusted point of contact, ensuring the highest level of service is provided. Provide guidance to customers on financial products and services that best meet their needs. Sales & Cross‑Selling
Actively identify and promote all bank products and services. Ask targeted questions to learn about customers’ financial needs and goals. Meet and exceed monthly sales and referral goals by recommending suitable solutions. Account Management and Support
Open and manage personal and business accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist with account maintenance tasks such as updates, transfers, and check orders. Support customers with online and mobile banking services. Loan & Credit Processing
Process and assist with customer loan applications, including personal loans and home equity lines of credit. Conduct initial loan screenings and gather necessary documentation. Educate customers on loan products, eligibility requirements, and terms. Transactions & Cash Handling
Process transactions with a high degree of accuracy. Balance cash drawer and record transactions accurately. Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and detect suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity. Adhere to privacy regulations and secure customer data. Team Support and Mentorship
Assist newer staff by providing guidance on bank products and operational procedures. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment by sharing knowledge and supporting daily operational needs. Branch Operations & Administrative Support
Assist with daily branch operational tasks including balancing cash and managing branch supplies. Support branch leadership in maintaining security and operational efficiency. Education & Experience
Knowledge Of

High School diploma required. 2 years of banking experience with lending responsibilities required. 1 year of previous training and/or combined mentorship, military or management experience required. NMLS registration required for Relationship Bankers who lend. Benefits and Compensation
Salary based on factors including job duties, required qualifications, and relevant experience. The role may be eligible for bonuses or incentives based on performance.
