We have an exciting opportunity for a
Senior Program Control Cost Analyst
at CAES by Honeywell in San Diego, CA. This position will serve as the Finance Lead for a growing portfolio of programs within the Defense Systems business. This individual will partner with program managers, other cross-functional leads, and Business Unit leadership to drive successful program execution, grow the portfolio, and enable achievement of business and financial objectives. This position is responsible for performing budgeting, performance monitoring as it relates to cost and schedule, forecasting, EAC development, proposal and new business support, and long-range planning. A successful team member will be highly analytical, a strong communicator, and an effective collaborator who can work cross-functionally to drive key financial and programmatic objectives. This individual will also serve as a leader within the program finance organization – mentoring, training, and supporting more junior analysts. Exhibit strong analytical abilities and utilize critical thinking to address financial challenges and foresee potential future situations. Prepare short- and long-term forecasts, budgets, Estimates at Completion (EAC), and variance explanations while monitoring performance. Provide financial guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including program managers, engineering and operational leads, etc. Act as a mentor and contribute to other employees’ professional development. Present financial information to the leadership team with confidence. Drive continuous improvement, including enhancing financial tools, streamlining processes, and promoting collaboration for smoother operations. Collaborate with program managers, operations leads, sector leadership, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues, including planning and budgeting tasks, monitoring spending, forecasting expenditures, and assessing profit margins. Establish, develop, and analyze cost and schedule baselines, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Estimates at Complete (ETC) and EAC. Update and maintain projects, WBS, and network activities in the ERP system. Interpret and communicate financial modeling and reporting outcomes to other business functions. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Five (5) years progressive experience as a Financial Analyst, Program Cost Control Analyst, Scheduler, or similar role. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. You must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license). Preferred: Master’s Degree Aerospace and Defense Industry experience, including budgeting and scheduling for government contracts, government cost control, and EVMS compliance. Eight (8) years progressive experience as a Financial Analyst, Program Cost Control Analyst, Scheduler, or similar role. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Leadership experience as an individual contributor. Experience with SAP or related ERP, Oracle Hyperion, and Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with MS Project or Primavera P6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range:
$81,800.00 - $155,443.00 annually (San Diego, CA) Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on location, job function, education, and experience.
