Job Description As a Senior Associate in our Mid Market Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to clients. You will be a hands-on leader on engagements, responsible for executing complex accounting tasks, overseeing key client deliverables, and mentoring junior staff. This role requires a highly skilled professional ready to take on more responsibility, serve as a primary client contact, and contribute to the strategic delivery of services. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, applying your technical expertise to ensure client satisfaction and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Engagement Execution: Lead day-to-day client accounting engagements, manage month-end close processes, complex reconciliations, and financial statement preparation to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for client teams, address questions, resolve issues, and maintain proactive communication. Technical Expertise: Apply GAAP knowledge to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Process Leadership: Own key processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R); identify and implement efficiency improvements. Team Leadership & Mentoring: Coach and mentor junior associates, review work, and provide constructive feedback. Problem-Solving & Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to solve complex accounting issues and provide insights. Advisory Support: Contribute to advisory projects with recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and industry trends.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in professional accounting functions; public accounting or consulting experience is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA certification is preferred or in progress. Skills: Thorough knowledge of GAAP; proficiency with MS Office; ERP systems experience (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) is a plus. Other: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with high accuracy; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong analytical abilities; demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
