Senior Auditor – Global Payment Network Capital One – Audit Department

Overview Capital One’s Audit function provides assurance services to the organization’s Audit Committee. Responsibilities

Design and execute audit procedures to verify internal control effectiveness.

Document auditee processes and procedures, review and analyze evidence, and identify potential issues.

Leverage available data and analytical tools during the planning and fieldwork phases of audit delivery.

Prepare clear, organized, and complete documentation to support work performed, including draft findings.

Establish and maintain good client and team relations during engagements; effectively communicate audit progress to team, clients, and auditor‑in‑charge.

Self‑prioritize and plan work activities, managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results; proactively take on additional work to support the team when possible.

Proactively seek out learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies related to the role.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.

At least 2 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial analysis, compliance, or a combination.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or relevant certification.

1+ years of experience leading audits and performing as auditor‑in‑charge.

1+ years of experience in banking or financial services.

1+ years of experience performing data analysis in support of internal auditing.

Benefits & Compensation Hybrid work model: associates spend about half their time in‑person (2–3 days per week) at one of the listed offices. Monday and Friday are enterprise‑wide virtual workdays; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in‑person days. Salary ranges (full‑time, US locations):

Charlotte, NC: $99,100 – $113,100

Chicago, IL: $99,100 – $113,100

McLean, VA: $109,000 – $124,400

New York, NY: $118,900 – $135,700

Plano, TX: $99,100 – $113,100

Richmond, VA: $99,100 – $113,100

Riverwoods, IL: $99,100 – $113,100

The role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation (cash bonus and/or long‑term incentives).
