to work in a fast-paced, high-volume collections environment, using various methods to collect delinquent revenues owed to the County. Revenue Recovery Officers II
manage large caseloads of delinquent accounts, investigate, analyze, and determine the best course of action to resolve debt, establish payment schedules, conduct field calls, appear in court, and interpret court orders and laws to ensure compliance. Current vacancies exist at the
Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector (ATC)
office. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies throughout the County. For more detailed information, please refer to the

Experience:
Must have two (2) years of full-time experience collecting on a large caseload of delinquent accounts for a governmental or third-party collection agency, hospital, or related environment. Responsibilities must include initiating/receiving collection calls, investigating financial information, applying skip tracing techniques, and recommending legal action. Experience with government debt, medical bills, credit card, retail, or personal loans is relevant. Accounts receivable experience alone is not qualifying. All work experience must be detailed and demonstrated on the application and supplemental questionnaire; resumes are not reviewed. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, be persuasive, handle conflicts well, multi-task, work under pressure, and have high-volume collection experience. Experience with online skip tracing resources is highly desirable. For
Auditor-Controller/Treasurer Tax Collector , knowledge of legal codes, court procedures, and government regulations related to debt collection is essential. Substantial experience in case management is highly desired. For
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center , practical knowledge of health insurance billing, reimbursement methodologies, and experience with various insurance payors is highly desirable. Bilingual Skills (Spanish/English)
and
Computer Skills
