The Human Resources Student Assistant will provide administrative support across all divisions of the Office of Human Resources at the University. This entry level position provides an introduction to different areas of Human Resources such as Talent Management, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and HRIS. This position plays a critical role in covering the front desk area of the office and often serves as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, vendors, community partners, and other guests. Responsibilities
Provide administrative support across all divisions of the Office of Human Resources. Assist with front desk coverage and be the first point of contact for visitors and callers. Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2025-2026 academic year. Previous customer service experience. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications
Interest in Human Resources and/or Business Management as a career path. Majoring in Business Administration, Business Management, or Leadership and Management. Work Schedule
The Office of Human Resources is open 8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday. Student employees will provide the supervisor with their class schedule each semester. The supervisor will build the work schedule based on the submitted class schedules. Job details
