Job Description Summary IMPORTANT NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST be currently enrolled at ULV and have a FEDERAL WORK STUDY award to be eligible for this position. The Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) Assistant will support the College and Career Services Counselor and CTEC staff with general office duties, program coordination, and student engagement. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of CTEC’s pathways and services, contributing to the success of the program and its students. The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must be able to multitask and work in a dynamic environment.

Willingness to assist in various tasks as needed, including occasional evening or weekend events.

Ability to stand, sit, and lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

Must have reliable transportation to/from work site.

Preferred Qualifications The ideal CTEC Assistant is organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in supporting the day-to-day operations of CTEC. They should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. This candidate is enthusiastic about education and enjoys interacting with students, staff, and community members.

Work Schedule Salary: Federal Work Study. Hours: 8-20 hours per week on a schedule agreed upon with the College and Career Services Counselor (may include occasional evenings or weekends). Students must have reliable transportation to and from work site.
