Overview
Fundraising Manager, Walk to End Alzheimer’s — Based in Los Angeles, CA. This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory and will oversee the Long Beach & Beach Cities Walks to End Alzheimer’s. Based on the value you bring, you will lead the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and success of Walk to End Alzheimer’s as a fundraising events manager
Cultivate key community and corporate connections, build and empower sustainable volunteer committees
Manage multiple peer-to-peer fundraising events annually and drive revenue goals
Coach and inspire volunteers to implement proven strategies and best practices that drive event growth
Build excitement in the community for Walk to End Alzheimer’s and promote participation
Coordinate with internal and external partners to achieve timelines, milestones and budget requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3-5 years of proven experience in recruiting and mobilizing volunteers to achieve goals OR 3-5 years of successful experience meeting sales targets
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Confident, goal-oriented, positive self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture corporate relationships and partnerships
Ability to manage large numbers of volunteers at different levels with diplomacy
Ability to work with diverse communities and operate in a highly matrixed organization
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and follow-through
Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory by car; valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record and proof of automobile insurance
Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends for committee meetings, Walk and wraparound events
Ability to bend, stoop, lift and transport up to 25 lbs of materials
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and social media; ability to learn Luminate/Convio software

Position Grade & Compensation:
Grade 305; salary range $69,000–$73,000; performance-based incentive up to $13,000 depending on portfolio size and quarterly goals
