Oracle
The OCI Compute Control Plane service is responsible for provisioning and managing all bare metal and virtual machine compute instances, forming the foundation of OCI's cloud platform. As OCI grows rapidly, we seek a talented Consulting Member of Technical Staff to help evolve the service to handle increased load. We are looking for a candidate passionate about solving complex scaling challenges in a highly distributed architecture, with strong operational skills to lead triage and mitigation efforts for customer-impacting issues. The candidate should be comfortable working with stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requirements and design concrete solutions.
Major focus areas include:
Creating and maintaining highly available APIs for launching and managing Compute resources.
Designing and implementing highly scalable systems across multiple regions in a global cloud footprint.
Building systems for orchestrating large-scale fleet management actions.
Decomposing large, monolithic codebases.
Architecting and delivering automated CI/CD pipelines to minimize human intervention and customer impact, with proper blast radius control.
The successful candidate will have a passion for automation and customer impact prevention, with the ability to quickly assess operational issues and implement mitigation steps to restore service.
