Description Position Summary: Working with designated children from birth to age five receiving services in the ECLIPSE program, the Early Learning Mental Health Consultant provides assessment and child and family goals, assists in determining eligibility for services and referrals to other community resources. The consultant also observes and consults in classrooms to implement behavior plans in the child’s designated classroom.
Responsibilities
Provide screening and assessment of children.
Screen ECLIPSE children with designated tools, observe the parent-child interaction, help to develop an individual care plan, and the classroom behavior plan.
Provide biopsychosocial assessment of child and family to assess strengths and needs.
Provide ongoing treatment with ECLIPSE children and families.
Provide coaching/consultation supports as indicated in the individual care plan with parents, including positive parenting skills and implementing behavior plans in the classroom.
Coordinate with and coach ECLIPSE Home Visitors in teaching parents behavior management skills.
Coordinate with family, teaching staff, allied service providers and home visitors to plan for transitions of child.
Provide classroom support and follow up with classroom staff regarding classroom interventions, children's progress or concerns, and family needs.
Establish collaborative relationships with teachers and teacher assistants to support each child; provide observations and consultation in the classroom as needed; reinforce behavioral health practices in early learning settings.
Facilitate staffings with Catholic Charities teams and multidisciplinary meetings involving parents, referral sources, and allied service providers as needed.
Participate in multi-system planning to ensure coordinated treatment and early learning intervention and education for identified children.
Complete all required documentation: document visits, meetings, and contacts in calendars and child records within 24 hours; maintain communication with assigned social workers and referral sources; complete documentation to support monthly billing details.
Attend and participate in individual and group supervision; communicate with supervisor regarding behavior management plans and team coordination; participate in regular supervision with licensed professionals.
Observe confidentiality and comply with mandatory reporting requirements; document all Child Protective Service reports as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Job Requirements:

Education
Master's degree in social work, counseling, clinical psychology, or related field leading to eligibility for clinical licensure required.
Experience
Two years of experience in behavioral health treatment or early learning preferred. Related experience may include counseling, case management, teaching, childcare, or similar work with young children and families.
Special Skills
Bilingual English & Spanish required
Ability to work independently and in a team
Knowledge of evidence-based, trauma-informed practices for young children
Knowledge of Washington Administrative Code for Child Care Providers
Excellent written and verbal communication
Reflective practice and feedback skills; respect for diverse backgrounds
Maintain professional relationships with childcare providers and stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of local service delivery resources; familiarity with ASQ-3/ASQ-SE beneficial
Licensure & Certification
Must have or obtain upon hire one of the following licenses/credentials: LMHC/LMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA, LICSW/LICSWA, LAAC, or Education Staff Associate (School Counselor/Social Worker/Psychologist)
Valid Washington State driver’s license and minimum liability insurance
Must be deemed insurable by Catholic Charities’ insurer
Employment Conditions
Background check and fingerprinting where required; TB testing and Department of Early Learning background check cleared.

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Wage Range:
$80,000–$90,000 depending on experience
