Rx Cost Transparency Analyst
Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) Position: Associate Governmental Program Analyst Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month Final Filing Date: October 21, 2025 Application Methods: Electronic (CalCareer Account) or By Mail Drop-off Hybrid Telework Opportunity: Remote and in‑office work for California residents only. Office days scheduled to work in office 4 days a week starting July 1, 2026. Performs the more responsible, varied, and complex technical analytical assignments related to drug cost transparency (CTRx) program operations. The incumbent will analyze and review data submissions from prescription drug manufacturers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; and will support constructive relationships with industry and public stakeholders. This position requires the incumbent to communicate effectively orally and in writing, with or without reasonable accommodation, in dealing with the public and/or other employees; develop and maintain knowledge and skill related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools, and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; adhere to the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) policies and procedures regarding attendance, leave, and conduct; and ensure compliance with California Prescription Drug Pricing for Purchasers statute and regulations. Hybrid telework schedule with a combination of remote and in‑office work. Telework policy is subject to change, and additional in‑office days may be required with minimal notification. Minimum Requirements

Experience communicating complex or technical information clearly and concisely to audiences with varying levels of understanding, including drafting responses to stakeholder inquiries Experience evaluating written materials and writing various manuals and guides Experience conducting online research and reconciling discrepancies in written and electronic data sources Experience working in a team environment Experience providing technical support to program stakeholders Experience evaluating statutory and regulatory compliance Experience interpreting and applying statutes and related regulations to complying entities Experience analyzing complex and sensitive data, ensuring accuracy and compliance Application Instructions
