Job Title:
Leasing Consultant
Salary:
$20 to $22 per hour + bonuses
Schedule:
Friday-Tuesday

Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
Interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy and ensure resident retention and client satisfaction.
Provide excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience for all.
Generate and handle traffic, qualify prospective residents, lease apartments, prepare lease documentation, and complete move-in paperwork and processes.
Ensure model apartments are in touring condition and orient prospective and current residents to the property.
Process renewal paperwork and deliver documentation to current residents monthly.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of traffic activity and follow up with prospective residents via phone, mail or email.
Convert phone traffic into scheduled appointments for tours.
Inspect apartments prior to move-ins and coordinate move-in/out with maintenance.
Create and maintain confidential resident files and review move-in paperwork with new residents.
Complete weekly leasing reports and ensure all open/close procedures are performed daily.
Assist with ongoing resident relations and respond promptly to requests.
Monitor competitive properties and assist with safety and cleanliness inspections; alert maintenance when repairs are needed.
Assist with processing work orders and provide clerical support to management as needed.
Support planning and implementation of resident activities to increase retention.
Adhere to all company policies, health and safety rules, and applicable laws.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High school diploma is required.
Minimum of one year of previous sales experience is preferred.
One year of previous residential leasing experience is preferred.
Skills and Requirements
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or another equivalent system is preferred.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with management.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and converse in English.
Ability to use general office equipment and key track system.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage difficult situations with professionalism.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.
Must comply with safety requirements and complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
