Overview

Power Platform Administrator (Systems Analyst V) at the Texas Education Agency (TEA). This role will manage and optimize the Microsoft Power Platform environment at TEA, with responsibilities spanning governance, security, user support, and collaboration with IT, business partners, and developers. This position reports to the Power Platform manager and works under minimal supervision with extensive deadlines. Flexible work location within the state of Texas may be considered for qualified candidates. Responsibilities

Environment and Governance Management:

Oversee all Microsoft Power Platform environments to ensure alignment with governance policies, manage environment provisioning, enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, monitor capacity usage, identify and resolve issues, and maintain a secure and compliant environment that enables innovation and scalability. Azure and Security Integration Awareness:

Maintain understanding of Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and IAM principles related to Power Platform; collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and compliant access for internal and external users. Power BI Governance and Administration:

Administer Power BI including user access, workspace governance, Row-Level Security (RLS), data governance policies, monitor usage, refresh schedules, deployment pipelines, and capacity planning. Platform Integration and Deployments:

Coordinate integration of Power Platform components (Power Pages, Power BI) into Power Apps, manage deployment lifecycles of model-driven apps, and ensure proper licensing and access compliance for Power Platform and Dynamics 365 CRM. AI Governance and Leadership Communication:

Lead governance for AI features (e.g., Copilot Studio), maintain the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE), generate monthly usage/adoption/performance reports, and present insights to leadership. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Education:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university Degree field(s):

Computer science, Information technology, or related field Experience:

At least four (4) years of experience as a cloud administrator with hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform components Substitutions:

Each additional year of related experience above the required minimum may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis Other Qualifications Share the belief that all Texas students can achieve at high levels and are able to succeed in college, career, or the military Strong expertise in Azure security groups and conditional access, including app registration, service principals, and identity management In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform licensing Familiarity with Copilot Studio and AI governance frameworks Proficient in generating reports and dashboards; experience with CoE Starter Kit is a plus Excellent communication skills: ability to lead meetings and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Good problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and identify areas of improvement All Texas Education Agency job postings include equal opportunity statements and standard disclosures.
