POSITION: Surgical Technology Instructor/Program Coordinator TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 10-month, benefited position. BACKGROUND CHECK: A successful background check is required prior to beginning employment. Responsibilities
Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Surgical Technology program. Provide online instruction to traditional students and apprentices; coordinate and facilitate clinical and lab instruction. Guide curriculum development and support student success initiatives. Ensure course content reflects best practices in the operating room; bring professional experience as a surgical technologist to the role. Serve as liaison with clinical sites; supervise student placements; maintain relationships with hospitals and surgical centers. Collaborate with college leadership to meet institutional goals, manage program budgets, and support student recruitment and retention efforts. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant education and experience to meet the objectives of the job summary and faculty qualification per LRSC policy; strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s level healthcare professional with current or prior certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST preferred) and prior teaching experience. Salary and Benefits
SALARY: $50,000 - $67,000, depending on education and experience. BENEFITS: Fully paid health insurance for family or single coverage, life insurance, sick leave, employee tuition waiver, spouse/dependent tuition discount, retirement benefits. Application process
