In this role, you’ll work independently to diagnose and repair a wide range of hardware and software issues, ensuring our faculty, staff, and students have the reliable technology they need to succeed. Job Description
Essential Functions: Perform expert repairs on desktop and laptop computers, accurately diagnosing both hardware and software problems. Customize and load software to meet user needs. Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating needs, solving complex issues, and keeping customers informed on the status of their repairs. Manage, update, and resolve service tickets in a timely manner, adhering to Service Level Agreements. Install new equipment and provide basic training to users. Maintain detailed and thorough documentation of all problems and their resolutions. Coordinate with external repair centers and vendors as needed to ensure successful repairs. Continuously expand your knowledge of new hardware and software used at the university. Uphold security and confidentiality for all sensitive university data. Assist with various projects and tasks as needed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: A high school diploma with at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have an A+ Certification. The ability to achieve Lenovo Repair Certification and Apple Repair Certification within three months of hire. Proven experience working with both Mac OS and Windows-based hardware and workstations. Excellent analytical, diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of electrical safety and superior customer service standards. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Desired Skills Or Competencies: Experience with hand and power tools. A basic understanding of network principles. Apple repair experience and AMCT certification.
